WHY MRC C25K

Mickleover Running Club is proud to be the most welcoming and supportive running communities in the area. We host a FREE Couch to 5K courses designed for complete beginners, as well as those returning to running after a break—whether due to injury, life changes, or simply needing a fresh start.

Our next nine-week course kicks off on Tuesday 7th October 2025 and runs through to Tuesday 2nd December 2025. We meet weekly at 6:00pm outside The Masons Arms in Mickleover, gradually increasing our running distance each session until we reach the 5K goal.

One of the best things about this course is the sense of community—everyone is on the same journey, and the encouragement from fellow runners is truly uplifting. Whether you’ve never run before, are recovering from injury, or adjusting to life after having a baby, you’ll be warmly welcomed.

To help keep you motivated between sessions, you’ll be added to a course-specific WhatsApp group where you can connect with others, share your progress, ask questions, and receive support throughout the journey.

We’ll wrap up the course with a celebratory group run at a local parkrun on Saturday 6th December—a fun and friendly way to mark your achievement and complete your first official 5K together.
